Head spa training and certification in Sweden

Head spa is the fastest growing treatment in Nordic salons, and trained therapists are still rare. Our course teaches the complete Japanese ritual as we perform it every day in a salon rated 4.9 out of 5 by more than 670 guests: scalp science, cleansing technique, ASMR massage patterns, hygiene and the business side of selling a premium treatment. You practise on real models, receive individual feedback and leave with a diploma and a protocol you can start working from immediately.
Course content
Day 1 — Scalp science and cleansing
Scalp anatomy, sebum and build-up, common scalp conditions, contraindications, hygiene and salon setup, the Japanese double-cleanse technique, steam and exfoliation.
Day 1 — Massage foundations
Hand positions, pressure and rhythm, lymphatic flow, the neck and jaw connection, and how the ASMR response is created and sustained.
Day 2 — The full ritual
Practising the complete seven-step treatment on real models, from consultation to blow-dry, with individual feedback on technique and timing.
Day 2 — Business and certification
Choosing equipment and products, room design and sound, pricing your treatments, booking flow and marketing. Written test and diploma.
Who the training is for
Hairdressers who want a high-margin treatment that fills quiet hours, massage and beauty therapists adding a scalp service, and career changers opening their own head spa. Small groups mean everyone gets hands-on time with the trainer.
Questions about the course
Is the head spa course taught in English?
Yes. The course is normally held in Swedish, but we teach in English on request — including all written course material and the final test.
Do I need previous experience as a hairdresser or therapist?
No. Many participants come from hairdressing, massage or beauty, but the course is built so that motivated beginners can complete it and start working.
What do I receive at the end?
A diploma from ASMR Head Spa AB with a verification code that anyone can check on our website, plus a full treatment protocol and product list.
Where is the training held?
In our salon at Västanväg 63 in Limhamn, Malmö — an easy trip from Copenhagen, Gothenburg or Stockholm. Groups are kept small so everyone gets hands-on time.
